Charlotte Williams
Founder of Honk!
Charlotte has a background in many industries such as entertaining on cruise ships, opening the Madagascar Live show at Chessington World of adventures back in 2012, cabin crew for British Airways, and running the Human Resources department in a prison.
When Charlotte was given the opportunity to become a driving instructor she leaped at the chance and now takes great pride in teaching new drivers a skill they will use for the rest of their lives.
Charlotte emphasises that as well as constructive feedback, positive reinforcement should also be given creating a positive learning environment and making the lessons enjoyable for the learner and herself.
"The most rewarding part of this job is when I see the Cheshire-cat-grins on the learners faces when they have passed their test and gained their independence. Their triumph is also mine"
Martin Duff
ADI at Honk!
Martin has a background in the insurance industry as a commercial underwriter. However, when given the opportunity to become a driving instructor, he also took the leap and is now very happy in his role.
Martin loves the job as it allows him to meet new people and pass on his driving knowledge and skills to his learners.
"Seeing a learner's uncontrollable smile when they pass their test or even complete a manoeuvre on their own for the first time is what makes this job worth it. Learners being proud of their success is a great motivator"
Simon Long

Simon has come from a background in the printing industry and with over 30 years in this trade he has managed clients from every corner of the commercial industry.
He has loved driving from an early age and now offers nearly 40 years of motoring experience on our roads.
“That click moment” when a student understands the skill and the smile from ear to ear makes the coaching all worth while.
Matt Jones
ADI at Honk!
Matt has had 2 careers, as a Quantity Surveyor in the Construction Industry, and an adventure sports instructor.
Matt is patient and calm and has a wealth of experience and interpersonel skills, and is passionate about teaching people of all ages the skills to achieve their goals. With 40 years of driving experience, professionally and for pleasure Matt now loves helping people to achieve their driving ambition.
Learning a new skill is fun and exciting, but can be challenging too. Never be afraid to make mistakes as they are the foundation of every success. Welcome new ideas and keep smiling.
Reece Chapman
ADI at Honk!
Reece has a background in Music performance and tuition. After Graduating from a Songwriting degree at ACM university in London and a Master’s Degree in Music production at BIMM University in Brighton, Reece started his career in education teaching music in schools around Surrey and Sussex.
When Reece found himself with the opportunity to become a driving instructor he took it with both hands; and now finds incredible satisfaction in his new field of work - helping new drivers realise their goals.
Learning to drive can be extremely challenging at times, but fostering a calm and safe environment for learners to grow their skillset and understanding is something that Reece values highly!
